SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Wounded Unicorn

This is a picure I drew at a role-playing convention. I saw a picture of a unicorn-girl hybrid in a magazine that someone had and thought it looked really cool. So, while waiting for a game, I picked up a pencil and started drawing. I had formulated an idea for a story about a species of unicorn that could change shape. These unicorns, when transformed into humanoid shape had a large star sapphire imbedded in their forehead instead of their horn. These stones were very much sought after by unscrupulous wizards because of the power inside the gems. This led to a brisk trade in unicorn poaching. This picture is a view of what the hero of the story saw when they accidentally stumbled upon her before the hunters did.

AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHH!I thought I was the originator of the gems in the forehead too!I like to use moonstones 'stead of sapphires. There's an evil muse out there passing out the same idea to everyone. We must stop her!!!

Hey, the stone thing's mine!!! lol. Why is that so populare? I really like the way she looks sad yet angery at the same time. I have a char. in my little stories I write 4 fun that shape-shifts(she's really a human) and she gets into things like this all the time, lol. So u can see how I like this one more so then, say, a norm. pic of a uni. But like I said, I really like the emotian in her face.

I'm back, but now I'm finally an Elfwood artist! Yay! I still love this picture and I hope your hero can help the poor uni girl (otherwise what's the point of being a hero?).

She was shot with a crossbow bolt. That's what she's holding.

Not a unicorn... What's she holding?

Okay, I'm about to ramble on and on about a movie I watched all the time when I was little...I can't remember a lot of it, but it's about a unicorn who changes into a girl, and then she's taken to this castle where the king or something hunts unicorns...and he finds she's a unicorn because he can't see his reflection in her eyes or something...and there was something about a circus, but that may be something completely different...does anyone know what I'm talking about? Or...did I just dream that up or something?

Anyway, enough of that...the picture is beautiful. The look in her eyes...it makes it seem like she knows something that the person who shot her doesn't....like maybe she feels a lot of pain from the arrow, that's why she's crying...but she won't die from it? I don't know...it's lovely though.

The Movie was called "The Last Unicorn". Adapted from the book written by Peter S. Beagle.

Thanks for the comments!

Well I'm not sure either way o' the expression in her eyes, and saying shes sexy is true, but also borderline beastiality.
Well done all the same.
