Hi, I love all J.R.R. Tolkien work and i can never have enough! Keep it up and welcome to the woodz! ^_^

:-) David Calcara replies: "Yahoo! Go Tolkien! anyway thanks for the comment!"

Welcome! Your work shows a lot of promise - I'm impressed with what you can do using such a simple program as Paint. Keep up the good work!

:-) David Calcara replies: "Muchas Gracias!"

Wow... this is really good... especially considering the program you used. I use a crappy freeware program myself and its a lot tougher than using one of those fancy ones, like photoshop. Your work shows great promise... just tjink what you could do with a good program...lol
By the way, come by my gallery sometime and see what I've got...(By the way, I prefer having a pencil in my hand over a mouse.)
JRR Tolkein and CS Lewis are awesome (I'm reading the return of the king right now... awesome book)

:-) David Calcara replies: "I also enjoy the good old fashion pencil, I just don't have a scanner!(Return of the king is my favorite!)"

err, you know that you can't have the pix of other peoples characters but your own. if you wanted you could have them on the fan site that Elfwood provides, but you can not have them on the fantasy or the sci-fi pages. and no offense but what do you know about anatomy? one more thing be4 i go...your lines are too thick, but all in all considering your age very interesting art

:-) David Calcara replies: "Someone's been looking at my Gollum! Anyway um, my pictures are my interpretation of the character. my picture of "gollum"is based on the book and not the movie. If i drew it based on the movie, then it would be fan art (i do have a f. art gallery). as for the lines, well that's ms.paint for you! My idea of anatomy tends to be somewhat cartoon-ish but then, Since when is gollum anatomically correct! I mean c'mon have you read the books? anyway, thanx for the comments."

oh yeah heres something for Tina Galluccio, if this is fan art, then WHY did the moderators or whoever accept the awesome LOTR artwork that David drew eh? And if you a problem with the thick lines go complain to MS paint, they are the ones that made the line size, and about anatomy, it don't have to be perfect! In the mind of a good artist anatomy should not matter, and other artists must respect the drawings of others because ppl try hard 2 draw good pictures!! *growls* I've really gotta control my firey temper! LOL sometimes its my temperment that ppl think i'm the queen of dragons! ^.^ LOL Queen of dragons? a yeah, anyway thanks for the support, but if I were insecure about my work, I wouldn't put it up on the web for the whole world(well almost) to see. I am happy to recieve any constructive comments, good or bad.

hey you say you've painted a dragon on your wall? *points to the end of his bio* I wanna see, take a piccy and use someones scanner to put it on here! Wish I could paint a dragon on my wall!

12 David Calcara replies: "Thanks Laura, I would like to scan in a pic of my dragon but I have 2 slight complications: first i'm having trouble with my scanner, and secondly i painted the dragon like 2 years ago and i'm slightly ashamed of it I'm hoping to update it soon!"

Wow, Tina dear is PMSing.... Way to point out and exaggerate all the nit picky bad points she can find. Sheesh. By the way.... i used to do quite a bit of tolkien work myself, and ive had more than one picture questioned as to whether it belongs in FQ or not. As a result, im one of the very few who has actually read the rules and all that fun stuff. [everyone else just says they have, but we know.] anything illustrating JRR tolkien's work belongs in Loth, as it falls under the catagory of book illustrations... if you have drawn stuff from the movies, which you havent, that would belong under FQ, as fanart of the movies. Wee, im so smart.I can't exactly comment on the whole "PMS-ing" thing(I wouldn't know), but I am gratefull for your support nonetheless.

Dude, your art work sucks, you are a disgrace to my name!!!!

:-) David Calcara replies: "Are you trying to be funny or something? Comments like this are a waste of everyone's time. Either grow up or get off the site."
