SciFi and Fantasy Art: Gargirl (female gargoyle)

Finally, a female gargoyle! ... Again, this too began as a simple anatomy practice drawing, and I eventually made this half woman, half lovecraft-ish creature. I purposely distort the muscles and such, also distorting the basic physique features such as her abnormally taller-than-usual upper body. You might see my attempt at shading on the wings; I still suck at shading. If any more experienced artists are looking at this, please drop me a little advice or two on how to shade better! :)

13 Nov 2002	Anonymous	Loading... you need to darken the wings and then get a Q--tip and lightly shade. Start on the outside of the wings then move in from there

22 Sep 2004	Obnoxious	Loading... I'm really sry, but...no actually i'm not sorry...this has to be the worst gargoyle i have ever seen...and what is wrong with the head?! I don't even know where to start... but i agree on the wings being the only part that doesn't make a good artist barf...

24 Feb 2006	Gargirl	Loading... Gargirl has been my handle for ages, I love gagoyles and really wish there was an artist that could capture one in beautiful form. I dressed as one for Old Hallows Eve, but even I could not do it justice. I have the idea so clearly in my minds eye, a gargirl would stop your heart and heat your blood!
