Much better interp of Lan here...he still has the Katana (or is it Ka'tan'a?)

I think it would acutally be pronouced "ka-ta-na," as it would likely be composed of the characters for ka, ta and na, but I'm just guessing here. I don't know the actual japanese spelling/pronuciation of "katana."

nonono the Ka'tan'a was a joke about all the apostrophe things jordan uses, you know like te'aran'rhiod. I figure maybe his ka'tan'a is a sa'angreal like callandor

No Lan's sword ISN'T any Angreal... however, I think it MAY be a blade such as Mats Ashandarei and Rands original Heron Mark sword. Created with the one power.. never needs sharpened, never will break (but thats just a theory I have)

First off awesome pic !!! And yeah Lan's sword was forged with the One Power (and thus will never break or need sharpening). I think he tells Rand that in the beginning of "The Great Hunt". so yeah, rock on!

Ok... honestly speaking.. I like this picture... f**k that Lan (Or A'Lan Mandogoran, The one true king of Malkieri as his full name is -=Probably spelled it wrong, ANYWAY=-)is not looking the way he really do... the picture is great...
And the... "Fade", was it...? Is just SO awsome...
And finally: Yes! Osmer D'vere!! You are totally right!! For that anyone that has read the books of Robert Jordan KNOWS that Lan's sword is a sword created by the One Power...!(Just like Mat's Ashandarei and Rand's Heron-sword)

umm fyi...rand sword didnt really break....its was melting into a foot long golden shinder lol towards the end of THE GREAT HUNT....rand fought the dark one,sorta.....and he plunged his blade into the father of lies and destriyed his blade thats my little two cents.............

Um... Rand's new sword is a one power forged sword too. Just thought you'd like to know.

Ok. You're right about the motion. Constructive Critisicm *wow i totally spelled that wrong*: This is somthing i struggle with, but it's not in the sword that's lacking motion, it's in the stances (if you didn't know that already) Lan is "Just standing there", as is the Fade. TO put more motion or action in it, spread the legs, lean the char. in more, make it non-logical, make them off-balance in the right way that the char. is 'suspended'. I'm sure you know all of that, but thought I'd say somthin'. Art is good, by the way, i likes...
