SciFi and Fantasy Art: Reborn

The dragonewt cycle continues, with the old materials being used for the good of the draconic way. Once a dragonewt has to leave it's body due to physical damage, it will be reborn from it's egg, possibly in a new form, if it has showed appropriate spiritual progress. The problem is, that you never know what happens if a human enters the dragonewt cycle...

Thanks for the comment! Nope, I didn't have a eggshell, but I've done enough baking in my life to remember how they always break up wrong... 12 The reason the draconic arm appears strange is because it's really quite bulky. Also, since she's lying on it, it's at a slightly strange angle.

It makes me wonder if you were actually looking at a cracked eggshell at some point during the creation of this one. It's imperfect enough to be realistic, and it can be very hard to draw imperfections if you're not seeing them in front of you in the real world. I don't like the draconic arm; it looks too un-balanced, especially compared to the very graceful legs, tail, etc.

It is truely amazing. I am showing this picture to my whole family right now. It is amazing. I love your sense of detail with the egg shell it brings the whole picture really together.

Just had to drop you a line -- Heroquest isn't really popular in my area; but then again I was playing it back when it was still 1st Edition Runequest (which goes to show you how old I am). If you haven't done one already, try my fave critter -- the walktapus..........
