SciFi and Fantasy Art: Chained

Weighed down in the trap, the griffin can't get away. He is chained, left, forgotten, but he cannot forget. Cannot forget what had been done to him, how he had been robbed of his freedom. Never again would he be free. Never again would he know love. He was broken and could never forget it. . .

Yay .  .  . another sad one. D: Yes I realize it is a griffin yet again, someday I may just draw something else. =O Maybe.

poor thing, I want to set him free! who chained him in the first place?1714

2 Krista "Hopefeather" Zimmerman replies: "Hmmm, I’m not sure exactly . . . *thinks for a while.* Actually I may have been putting off an English assignment when I did this, so it probably doesn’t have that much of a story behind it *winks.* 12 Lol, I’d love to hear who you guys think it was though, if you have any ideas. Just a thought, but you could even post a story to go with it if you want to! Anyway, thanks so much for the comment, and I’m glad it made you think!!!"

Awww...poor, cute little thing. His wings? Let’s see...maybe he’s too young for them to show yet...or...the evil thing that chained him up also dissolved them in acid, not only to be cruel, but also becuse he feared that with them the critter’d be able to garner enough force to lift the post right out of the ground. I dunno, but that’s my take lol. Such a sad sketch though.

1 Krista "Hopefeather" Zimmerman replies: "Thank you so much!!! 1 *Nods* and your ideas sound great to me too, much better than me just being lazy about it, lol. 12 Anyway, thank you so much for the nice comment!!! 1"

poor little guy.........*growl* i bet a human did this *shows fangs* Sorry its just humans sometimes get on nerves......man the poor griffin.....no wings......i want to give him a hug......maybe cheer him up 1

:-) Krista "Hopefeather" Zimmerman replies: "Ya know, I think a human did it too, actually - always trying to gain things that should never be owned, like wild animals that should always be free. Yes, I like that interpretation quite a bit, that’s probably what I think as well. It’s just like clipping wild bird’s wings so they won’t get away when sold as pets, they would take away its wings and therefore its freedom just so they could own it. It’s like the previous comment said "they feared it’d be able to garner enough force to lift the post out of the ground," but what they don’t realize that what they’re doing is taking away the most important thing to the creature in the first place - freedom.

And hugs are always welcome!!! 12"

Poor griffin, I just wanna release him and take him home. Are you going to colour this one? If so, I can’t wait! 2

:-) Krista "Hopefeather" Zimmerman replies: "Thank you so much! 1 Someday I might just do a colour version or this one, or something like it - it would be good practice for using my new prismacolors. 2 Thanks again!!! 1"

Aw, the poor griffin! I don’t know if he realizes this but it looks like the chain isn’t solidly tied around his neck. Maybe he just snapped the stupid thing, eh? 1

:-) Krista "Hopefeather" Zimmerman replies: "Hmm, you’re right! 2 Ya know, perhaps he’s too caught up in being caught up to realize that things aren’t as bad as he makes them out to be . . . ? 12 Lol, I really believe you’re right about that one!!! 1"
