SciFi and Fantasy Art: Dracotaur 2- This time it's personal

I decided to have a bash at reworking Dracotaur. It took a bit longer this time, but me and my trusty pen tablet soldiered on, and produced....this.

Another spiffy coloring job!

Oh, wow... he looks wondyful. The background's a bit, euh, but he's quite adorable. Aw.

I dig the pointy bits on his feet! Nice stripes, too... The monolith in back and the grass looks a bit fuzzy--would be nice to see more detail and contrast at the edges. Good coloring job on him, though!

backgrounds a bit boring, but the dracotaur is beyond awesome... *drool*

This character is very interesting. THe background may not be as good as it could be but that's the point. It's not the background you are focusing on, it's the character. Beautifully coloured. I love it. THe detail is great and I think the time taken out to do this was well worth it.^.^

Really nice coloring job, especially the tatoo on his arm. Very detailed. The only thing i would change is the stones in the back ground. The edges are just a little too blurry, makes the rest of the pic look a little blurry even though it isn't. Very interesting concept. Good anatomy and proportion in general. I like the fact that it's a male figure, that's surprisingly on the rare side here in elfwood.

Hey again duuuuuuuuude! how weird would it be if you read these comments in the wrong order as to what I posted?! Wouldn't make ANY SENSE (see my maily for posting order). Anyway, the background's comparitive badness has been mentioned a loada times so I won't bother, but I think he's great. I love the tat on his arm, that's groovebational. And his mottled stripes are nicely tending to blur slightly at the edges, makes it look...better...but myself, i prefer the sketch. This one is nice, but too cartoony for my personal faves. The sketch had a compelling, brooding darkness about him, his face in particular, and green's not my fave colour, so I think the colour spoils that and makes it...bright. But that's not to say it doesn't rock. Just preferred the sketch.
CIAO!
