SciFi and Fantasy Art: Flying High

Dragondazd is a brilliantly white feathered dragon, and my chosen subject for July's DAX. In this piece, she is performing a mid-air roll (an Immelman, I think it might be called?), from which we see her doing so from above her. I actually drew in the background (sort of) this time when I was drawing the piece, experimenting with what I could and couldn't do. I found out two things. One, it's very difficult to find overhead pictures of clouds. Two, water is /hard/ to color if you haven't the slightest clue what you're doing. And one more thing. Mouse takes /forever/ to color things. Be smart. Get a tablet.

2 Jun 2006	Alienjackel	Loading... Woozers! A feathered white dragon! I love whit dragons! The peacock tail is a nice touch. I really like artists who think out side the box. It is up very high, surpised the air pressure as not killed it by now, sorry, but its true. Anyway, very nice pic!

I think that would add to the general looks of the drawing...more dept and it wouldn't at first glans look like a pic which you didn't finish coloring yet. Nest to that I have a problem with the beginning of its tail...but thats just taste I guess. But next to my critic...WOW what a composition!! Brilliantly drawn and really great idea with the clouds and the continent way down below.
