SciFi and Fantasy Art: GAX - Zhai

This picture is for Zhai, during the May round of Gryphon Art Exchange over at Livejournal. I received four descriptions of Zhai's Di'Quinasev gryphons. Though I only had to choose one to draw, all four of them seemed very unique in personality and description. The inspiration to draw this boxy-styled picture came from various arts I'd seen online before, as well as a particular picture drawn by the artists who draw the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle comics. So, here they are. From left to right: Onyx (martial eagle/panther), Shadowsteel d'Midland (owl-falcon mix/panther), Runealith (swallow-tailed kite/snow leopard), and finally Zai'ileysa Lyrrkaea (kite/panther dracogryph). Of the four, I felt that Onyx and Rune came out to be the best ones.
