SciFi and Fantasy Art: Look Before You Dive

I was delighted when July's GAX subject for me was Taran, a good friend. Taran is always good with words, and a very caring individual who is admirably in the medical field. She wanted a theme of something to do with medicine/healing, as it appropriate, and so I did this piece after some thought. The green primaries are supposed to be dyed in the fashion of Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar world where gryphon healers often dyed their primary feathers to indicate what field they were in. In this case, green is the medicinal field. Anyway, here's me (Sai) getting my leg bandaged up after losing the fight against a sockeye salmon. Darn fish! Next time, Gadget, next time! Background lacking because my wrist just can't take it anymore. >_< (Computer colored with mouse (My hand wants to kill me now) in Photoshop 6.0, about... 4 hours straight coloring time.)
