SciFi and Fantasy Art: Youngings

They start as the most innocent, unaware of their ancestral traits that will soon be thrust upon them. A younging is kept from all outside influence of other races to preserve the teachings of the group. The group is chosen to rear the younging to a point at which it is most influential. Then as though to confuse and anger, youngings are taught by high councils by imprinting images and thoughts as though they were their own. This method is very effective and has proved to be impossible to revert. But as the cosmic stew becomes more varied, and the end result of each generation more unpredictable, some youngings have been known to start to question their thoughts as they age. The elders see this as a threat to their existence and continually hold council in hopes of eradicating the situation.
