SciFi and Fantasy Art: SAMPLE

This shows how my process goes with these pencil peices. I draw on Mylar(because I get it for free:), which enables me to do many overlays, changing it many times until I get just the right feel to the drawing. I don't really know when that will be, it just kind of evolves as I go, until at some point I'm rendering. This one here is still in that process (for over six years now). This may not be the best way to draw, and it's very time consuming. But it's not necessarily the finish product I'm looking for, It's the journey  the character and I take, on the way to a finished product. I hope this sheds a little more light on any questions you had.

*busted..finger...ack..cant type...but must..* See the pain you talented ppl put me thru? Ack. *hee* I just had to comment on this one. I love the twist in thie pose, and her form is really solid--supple and voluptuous, while expressing feminity at the same time, even for a quick rendering. 2 yrs? Wow. And your paper didnt go yellow?? *hee* Just kidding. Interesting composition and costuming--cant wait for the finished product!

difficult pose to work with and there's something about this piece that makes it one of my favorites of yours! I haven't seen it and maybe I'm blind, but do you plan on taking this sketch to a final painting? If so I want to hang it on my wall . . . if you don't paint it though I will paint it (maybe in 6 or mor months 12! Well I need to get busy . . . good job!

Surprisingly enough, this is exactly how I pictured one of Beldarr's works in progress. My questions remain legion, though my confidence is boosted.

Being the young and inexperienced newbie I am, I have to ask: what is Mylar?

Very good start, her thighs are too thin, thing on her hair is not realistic, pose too complicated, consider adding much more detail to the shoes, and the length of the feet, left shoulder does not match the right, the mussels in the right hand not realistic as well as on the right leg, also consider placing on of the feet on the dragon
