SciFi and Fantasy Art Khopesh of Mulhorand by Katy Bellamy

Ur-Atum Tau Khenemt-Re Herakhty, The Great Lion of Re, Paladin of Horus-Re... otherwise known as 'Khopesh' because of the sickle-bladed sword that is his weapon. He started off as a human Paladin, but was granted the status of Risen Martyr after a heroic death in which he saved the life of mage from a fire elemental by casting gallons of 'Create Water' over the creature's head. Sekhmet is his mount, a giant (Egyptian)vulture who has been by his side since his moment of Horus-Re's favouring. Although stern and chaste, he still has a good sense of humour and will gladly recount tales of his youth (including a bawdy story or two involving temple virgins). (Khopesh is one of my favourite roleplay characters, mainly because his ultra-holy status is a result of actual roleplaying. He has the appearance of a Leonal, because I had a word with the GM; screw the ability modifiers, I wanted to look good! I love the Egyptian motif, and Horus has always been one of my favourite gods, so it's nice to play an Exalted character who means something on a personal level.)

But Seriously, what she doesnt say is that she also drew as good pictures of this guy on a sheet of rice paper which she then ate! Anyhow, keep up the good work Katy, and finish those damn pictures of the Rest of the Party Katy Bellamy replies: "Thank you! =^_^= I still intend to get Havellios (sp?) and the rest of the characters drawn up sometime... and there's also the possibility of a Vale's End picture to complete.What else did you want me to do with the rice paper? Make a quilt? All good art will fade one day... so you may as well enjoy its tasty goodness while it lasts..."
31 Jul 2004	Foxymoon_cat	Loading... i LOVE you work you do such great rats and now this lion, god! your good i think this and saint vincent are my favorites i'm gunna use them on my desktop ^^ giggles e meow me if you mind or don't or whatever i kinda have a request you do GREAT! shading i love it you so rock oh and i like your more cartoon like style too pretty cool oh and uhh don't be phased on that whole ricepaper thing fantastic artists have done much crazier things i mean come on you stll got your ears .....right? .......lol jk keep drawing Katy Bellamy replies: "Thank you so much! 6 Sep 2005	A. R. Ogden	Loading... I play in a campaign set in Mulhorand. I have a small gallery on Mulhorand.net. It's a great picture. There is not a lot of art specific to that campaign world. Sure, lot's of Egyptian stuff, but not much directly associated with Forgotten Realms. Great stuff.
