SciFi and Fantasy Art: Virgoe

I once read a story about the myth of virgo. I can't remember all the details, names etc. but it was about a girl who found her father murdered and then hung herself in grief from a apple tree, her beloved pet then threw himself into a river and drowned. The gods took pity on them and brought them to the heavens as their respected constellations. I however like to think that with all the ancient beliefs a suicidal act would have seen this girl and her companion wake up in the land of shades...
