SciFi and Fantasy Art: No Truer Words

Rook says, "With me, you never have to wear a mask." I only wish now I had not done it so small (4x6"), but no going back now. :p

This was a gift for my friend Taylor. The mask is based on a lovely mask I bought in Montreal.

One of my few attemps to go fully rendered/lineless.  Painter 6, 2005.

Yeah, could you please explain why he says 'With me, you never have to wear a mask'?
Is it because he doesn't care what you look like?
That's the only explanation I can think of ^-^.
