SciFi and Fantasy Art: BearClaw

a knife/dagger i drew not too long ago. The little 'can-opener' in the end pops in and out when you push the little button under the thumbprotection. The blade also has a sword-breaker,very handy if your steele is an inch or two shorter than your opponents :) A redwood grip should give is some style.

Just a question...How do you get the knife into the sheath? Hmm... otherwise, ouch again! This would make a horrible gash with a downward stroke, eh? Like gutting a fish. Cool design, Braan

The curved Arab blade (not quite this curved, but similar in design) was the weapon of choice for assassins. The balde was made for special use against the juggular, the force pushing in would also push the blade in a curved direction, which pushed it out of the neck. In effect, pushing the kinfe in alos severed the neck and cut the blade free in one movement. If you can't tell, weapons are one of my favorite subjects >2

To me the finger-guards seem to be on the wrong side...Unless you bring the hook part down. But then why is the sword breaker on the other side?
