SciFi and Fantasy Art: Faramir thinking of home, while keeping an eye on the East

This is the second in my series based on the characters of the 'Lord of the Rings'. Like my picture of 'Sam', this is also built upon a picture of one of my children. I have always seen my oldest son, as the dependable but no non-sense character that I believe Tolkein seen as Faramir. Faramir was both better read, and gentler than the character Boromir, but also a man that deserved respect. Many of you who have just seen the movie but not read the book, will not know of this wonderful persona. Behind Faramir, you see both the home he craves to go back to, and the waterfall which hides the cave in which he and his men use to watch the minions of Sauron. Coming from over his back, you see the hilt of the type of sword, that I believe this 'royal' ranger and field commander might use, not overly flashy but practical.

wow, this is great. *first comment dance* I really like this interpretation of Faramir, it's not exactly how I imagined him, but it still looks like him (did that make sense?) Well, it's very good. Keep it up!

Srry that I have to say, but his head looks like a hobbit. The composition is good, and I like your idea of the city of Minas Tirith, but I think yoúr Indian pics are much better; they're absolutely wonderful and you have a great technique... keep on the good work, but this was only a little bit of humor 12
