SciFi and Fantasy Art: Hospitaller Knight

In the picture is rapresented a knight of the Hospitaller Order, while in the background it's possible to see the castle of Marqab, perhaps the first bastion of the Knights of St John in Africa. It raises vertically over the sea north of Tripoli, and it was costantly defended by a big garrison and provided with food to withstand a long siege. The Hospitaller Knight was the first monastic-military order formed during the first crusade(the first Grand Master was Gerardo Da Sasso since 1099), to defend the pilgrims who went to the Holy land, and later to constitute the core of the Christendom struggle against the Arabic.

Such drawings cant be made with computer, only with the perfect tool named 'your hand'! Great job! 9/10 But the neck is to long, and the right foot seems a bit strange, otherwize, but 9/10 is great!

2 Mar 2003	Peter	Loading... Nice one. It is indeed the black walls of the Qa'alat Margab in the background, very true to the real thing. Theyre made out of basalt, I think.
