hehe, even in the most aparent simple sketches, we can feel the magical atmopshere. good.

looks like the guy he's getting zapped by isn't totaly thrilled or maybe he's just trying to look serious and powerful - maybe the little guy with the hammer and the ankh is getting evergized - maybe he's getting crisped ... either way i seem to be hearing a loud: ZZZZZZZZZZZAAPPP...

Hehehe! Never irritate Thor!

I'd wager Thor's striking the little dude because he's holding an egyptian ankh. Definately not the best way to show your Asatru off, holding a symbol sacred to Thor in one hand and one to Osiris in the other. And how'd 'E find that ankh anyhow? I know the Vikings sailed as far as West Asia and Canada, but I don't believe they ever made it to North Africa.

oddly enough i read a few years ago where they almost certainly did make it to places like malta and crete in the mediteranian and yes quite possibly to what is now morrocco and tunisia though not neccessarily egypt itself - but otherwise i have to aggree with the above commenter - not neccessarily the smoothest move he could possibly have made ... ~12

You know people, maybe I've taken this picture exactly of this reason. There were no vikings ever in egypt, but I've seen this one, and was as amazed as you, so I sat down and scribbled it! (an egypt with an ankh wouldn't be special, right?) But... probably I better go reading a history book. Or two. *grins*

Perhaps both Thor and Osiris were angry. Two opposing relics as it were...rather like taking a firm grip on two different lightening rods in a storm on a puddle on a hill. "Now that's mongolian barbeque!"

For the Egyptian/Viking comments:
Maybe the vikings didn't get to Egypt itself, but they could have bought them, as usualy those ahnks are made in pure egyptian GOLD, and vikings loved gold, and also silver. they were raiders ye know >2 Still I am with them about the ahnk, poor man. Crisped to ashes. Oh well, i can't be negative 10 Good work for such small sketches.

Did the vikings ever hold the ankh as a sacred item?
