SciFi and Fantasy Art: Nolae the Dinnae

I created my very own race for our D&D games...The Dinnae! They live in underwater cities like Atlantis, and usually have white skin with tints of either blue or green. But I'm not telling any more!

The Dinnae are copyrighted to ME. They're my babies. Steal them and DIE.

Ooo! First comment! Anyway, I really like the idea for the dinnae, as well as that top she's wearing! o_O The Hands are nice, especially the attitude that the little flicky finger thing carries. The cloth texture is just right too. Her right arm looks a little odd to me though, but I could definitely be wrong about that...Anyway I think this is great!

:-) Caitly Andrews replies: "Yeah...I've been having issues with poses (Why the arm looks a little odd?) lately. But yes!! I love my furry little people."

How do you do your hands?

:-) Caitly Andrews replies: "Wouldn't YOU like to know? ::Nudgenudgewinkwink:: ....Well, actually, I haven't been spending enough time on my hands lately. Bad Caitly!"

I love this pic! She's really cool ~_^ I like the idea of her living in an underwater city, that kinda reminds me of some people I've invented too... (Don't worry, I haven't stolen it from you) I like the way you make clothes, and this ones clothe is really neat. She's cool! 1

:-) Caitly Andrews replies: "Underwater cities are top of cool, aren't they? Hehe, I just love this race. Thank you for the sweet comment!"

You are really good with your color choices, and you can by my fashion designer anyday. As soon as I'm rich I'll hire you to make me look that good. :Þ

Good job with the pose, I know that particular one is harder then it looks, and you pulled it off admirably. Although her neck looks a tinsy bit odd... I just haven't quite put my finger on why.

Oh, and Weiss / Hickman (in DragonLance) have a race of sea elves that seem pretty similar.

:-) Caitly Andrews replies: "Yay fashion design! I'll give you an early tip...*whisper* Potatoe sacks are SO in this summer."

Oh, and as to the Dinnae being like the Sea Elves from Dragonlance...pretty close, but not really, if I remember. Those guys sorta live in ruins, right? I think the Dinnae live in bubble cities or somethin.

:-) Caitly Andrews replies: "I think that's what was finally decided, debating between the bubbly cities and Atlantis-like cities."

Dude, is this the original Nolae? At any rate, it sure came out well. Her eyes and hands especially are amazing. As to the neck, it looks great to me, I think the lone neck muscle without a visible collar bone might just confuse some people. I dunno! BRAVO!

:-) Caitly Andrews replies: "Yep, the original Nolae. Wondering if I should switch this with a newer one. Hmm.."
