SciFi and Fantasy Art: Realistic elf girl

Beautiful picture. I really love the touch of green in the eyes.Thank you. The green was done in photoshop, the rest is just pencil scanned in.

Coole tekening! echt mooi, ik had hem nog helemaal niet gezien. En dan maar zeuren dat je niet kan tekenen... ;-pVolgende keer in 't Engels Matthijs.... En er kloppen toch een aantal dingen niet, kijk maar naar de comment hieronder.

here are some tips for doing realistic faces:
first start with one eye then move on to the other. the eyes should be one eye length apart. (yours are a bit to far apart.) The nose should be one eye length and 1/4th long. (yours is a bit short.) The lips should start in about the middle of one eyes and go to about the middle of the other eye. (which u did a nice job of) The corner of the eye points to where the ear starts and the ear ends at the tip of the nose. (which u also did a nice job of)

hope it makes sence for future reference. it's easier to show it than to type it. overall u did a very nice job on this face and would luv to see more realistic stuff in the future. Please don't get mad at me and think I gave u the tips because I thought the pic was bad... it's far from it!Thank you for the tips, though I did know about those "rules". I'm just not the type to start drawing lines for where every piece should start and end. Most of my drawings are done on feeling. The eyes might be a bit apart because she's an elf, you've got many different kinds of elves. Maybe she's not the perfect kind of girl. I don't know.I hope to draw more in the future. This is beautiful and manages to be mystical and realistic at the same time. Her eyes are a nice touch Thank you!! That was the effect I was trying to get.

I must admit that I like these kinds of pieces, your sketchy and lifelike poses better than some of your other poses. I really like this one and some of your newer pieces. They rock.Thank you for your comment.
