SciFi and Fantasy Art: Serpentsword

This sword represents a bit of get off my butt and do it, and the second request filled out in my hope-to-be long life at Elfwood. The sword is a simple longsword design with a sabre-style end on it, though admittedly the angle of the picture and the serpent hides it. The serpent itself is nothing special, when I was drawing the weapon I had no real guide on how it should look, so I drew something just for looks sake, not anything biologically correct. This fine picture (like so many) was done on cheap K-Mart style drawing paper, using a 0.5 mecha-pencil and an eraser for the faded blade effects.
