SciFi and Fantasy Art: Bedtime Story

Another children's book illustration I came up with, without an author to speak of...but a mother reading her child to sleep so it has sweet dreams is a very typical scene so I changed the roles a little... as you can see the mother read herself to sleep instead and the child gets all the adventure! Naturally, the parents won't believe a word of what you saw when you tell them the next morning! Typical... ;) (Also a coloured pencil drawing on cartridge paper).

Lovely work Joanna, i just love coloured pencils, they are so underated, how many artist do you know who are famous for using coloured pencils? i love childrens book illustrations, it's something i want to do, and studying at uni, this peice is great inspiration.
