SciFi and Fantasy Art: Beast of Spines

An early sketch I did about 4 or 5 years ago, he wasn't realy a serious effort in improving my art or anything, just an something I started sketching, don't know where he's from, don't know where he's going, and don't have any real plans for him in the future. He's just something that took form as I was sketching, sorry bout the poor quality of the pic, he's a copy of a copy I lost the original sketch. maybe someone out there can help me find a place for him...
