SciFi and Fantasy Art: Jester and Standard

This is a relatively old drawing, but I still like it for the story it tells if not for the technique used to tell it. I know the anatomy isn't that great, believe me, I've done better before and since. I don't often draw fighting or battles of any kind, but this is a battle scene... of sorts.

20 Jun 2002	Kat (TheDreamWolf) Nicholson	Loading... hehehe... - is this guy in inner-turmoil like most jesters? ...or is he just battlin' w/that rather stubborn lookin' Mule? - I like this idea, I can honestly say I've never seen anything quite like this ^.^ - the fact that the anatomy is of is of little relivance, the idea that the picture conveys still remains the same... if only we could see what he sees... what with that mule so blisfully unaware and all..... Jennifer A. Cabbage replies: "I've always pictured this as kind of a sad image- the jester who came to watch his lord wage a mighty battle ending along on a hill with his lord's tattered banner, watching the destruction of his life... of course, I was also in a rather depressed mood at the time that I drew this, too. Heh. I like your jester/fool, by the way!"
15 Jun 2004	Trinton C. Garrett	Loading... I like this drawing alot too and agree with the post above. It is a very cute drawing because it looks like the mule is very blessfully ablivous to what is going on around him and the jester is battleing with either the mule or with his inner turmoil.
