SciFi and Fantasy Art: East of the Sun, West of the Moon- I.

The first plate for my current project, _East of the Sun, West of the Moon_. EOtS.. is a Eastern Ruropean faery tale that I first read in one of the Andrew Lang colored Fairy books. My friend Teria is contributing the text.

I kinda collect fairytales, you see. Have you seen the version done by Mercer Mayer? Look for it, it's simply stunning.
11 Sep 1999	Teria	Loading... I love the trees...they kind of remind me of this thing that I used to do when I was little - it involved painting watercolor shapes on paper and then leaving them out in the rain...looked cool ^_~
2 Jan 2002	Movmmer	Loading... There is a book called 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' that I am sure contains the story you speak of, it speaks of Scandinavian faerytails =) unfortionitly I never finished it =(
26 Mar 2002	Alexis Paige Millan	Loading... I love this fairy tale! I wrote it into a play with a friend of mine, and our theatre class performed it. I love hte atmosphere of your picture. The poor family's small cottage at the beginning, right?
