I hate to be overly critical, but it's not an Arabian. The legs are too stocky, the neck has a quarter horse feel to it, and the head has a draft look about it. It's also to big, unless that rider's really tiny.

Then again, the title can be interpreted in two ways. One is a person that rides Arabian horses, the other way an Arabian person who is riding. Hmmmm..... if it's the second, is the horse a Barb? The whole body structure does lead me to believe it has SOME Barb blood in it.

*shakes head* I guess you'd like a review of the actual picture, no? It is gorgeous. The shading and muscle structure on the horse (regardless of breed) are absolutely fantastic! The ride has a very cool and calm air about him or her. Even with the rearing horse, they are in control, they are not panicking.

Again, it is a beautiful picture and I'm sorry if I seem overly critical about the whole breed thing. Keep up the great work!

Personally I think Arabians are far too dainty to be warhorses anyway. Yeah they're fast, great for endurance racing, but they're too...dainty. (Runs and hides from Arab fanatics.) And yes I know they were in fact warhorses at a time, I suppose that's before the genetic inbreeding sent in. As for the artwork, I think it's a very good picture and, Arabian or not, the horse is beautiful.

This picture is very good, but the face features of the Arab should be a bit differnt. But you're picture is still very, very good!

AHHH! I love this picture! I used to show arabian horses, now I show AQHA and thoroughbreds! About the head, you guys are wrong. Egyptian Arabians have a dished head, Polish arabs are more blocky and are sometimes confused with quarterhorses.

Arabian horses can be war horses. Only if they're pampered they are dainty. They're intelligent, brave, fierce (if made mad), and are loyal to the people they like.

mmmm.... Kinda cool. Its a welldone pic and all... But... i'm not sure it belongs in elfwood. Granted, it doesn't fit with history, but its a person with a sword on a horse... Whats fantasy about that?
