| 20 Jul 2002 | Lisa 'Scarecrow' Ferreira | Dude above-stop spamming. Nobody mentioned rufus here. As for the picture, I love the style. It's got a sort of burnt paper texture, very tactile. It's done on computer, right? Excellent. The lion man reminds me of those African legends of the sorcerer who became a lion at night. Do you paint?I've never heard of that legend - but it sounds quite close to what I was thinking of, oddly enough. I'll have to go look it up.I painted once upon a time, but the last time I did was about three or four years ago. I might start up again in the fall at art college, but in the meantime, digital painting's infinitely easier without any of the mess. | |
| 20 Jul 2002 | Wondering what's wrong with all of you!!!!!! | Hello. I don't work here, although I do support the site as a beautiful outlet for talented artists. My message is somewhat hypocritical in content but I feel as though I must speak up due to what I see as an injustice... Rufus has a right to his own opinion. As much as all of you. Not only that but I don't see him/her immaturely dissing your critiques. These bulliten boards are places to post your comments/critiques/reviews of the ART on this website. As far as I am informed these "BB" is not a place for you to criticize other peoples' comment. You need to focus on the art. If the artist wants to discuss negative or positive critiques they may but it is not your job to do so. I have seen SO many intelligent bulliten boards degenerate into meaningless flame wars and these are beginning to show the signs of that just because people refuse to focus on the art and instead must argue with one who's opinion is different than their own. Please don't let that happen to such a gorgeous and intelligent site!!!!!!!!!! Props to rufus for the simple fact that they have focused on the art and not stooped to the immaturity of those whom feel that one opinion is wrong because it is different. Peace and ART!!! Bye! | |
| 20 Jul 2002 | Kahlan | I am no art critic but I think there is a perfect word in the vocabulary of humanity for this piece...wow...and that would save me alot of breath It is really great and makes me wish I could do stuff like this...though I guarantee I will not put any of my work up *chuckles lightly* Paint was definately harmed in my work! | |
| 20 Jul 2002 | Lisa Coleman | This is really good, though I do think either the composition or his pose is sort of static. I like lizzie's comment up there about his feet. | |
| 20 Jul 2002 | Ashley E. Cruikshank | The mane is beautiful! ^______^ Very nice work, I hope you do well on Furbid. | |
| 3 Feb 2003 | Danielle R. Ball | O.O It looks like those guys from that book "Hunters of the Red Moon" by Marion Zimmer Bradley! The cat-guys! I can't remember the species name at the moment *is shamed* but it looks just like them! Eee!

| 3 Mar 2004 | Meike de Nooy | Haha.. here's my natural colours after all! I really like this one though I'm usually not too fond of the half animanl human thing... Though the legs seem somewhat stiff here, the perspectoive turned out very well! | |
| 1 Aug 2004 | Lindsey 'Geeblay' Gabel | *lion points to a group of lionesses offscreen* this is why men never do laundry!!
tee hee! I love this pic...it's very nice, and the colors are so excellent...it totally deserves it's mod!! | |
| 13 Dec 2005 | Haylee | Its good, but its a male. And his pose is very femienine, and it confusees me good though | |
| 19 Jan 2008 | Gwenivere Stephan | Interesting picture. I love the colors, very warm and nice. His expression and extended arm seem to say that he’s commanding somewhat angrily, but the rest of his pose is very relaxed. It’s a little strange. But the anatomy is good and I like the face. Nice picture overall | |
