SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lord Harper

Custom Celtic bardic illustrations for the interior of the book Lore of the Bard, by Harper Sylvan. Published by Llewellyn Worldwide, the oldest publisher in New Age sciences. This last image is the fourth plate in the book, showing a lord harper this time playing in a clearing under an oak, twinned by bonfires, playing at samhain to call up the souls of the departed to celebrate their life and be blessed for the new year to come. Again, there are symbols nestled in the knotted tree border, including the triskel, the Trinity knot (some say a symbol of the triple gods and goddesses of the Celts), the 4 spoked wheel (the 4 quarters of the earth) and the oak tree (the most revered tree of the druids).
