| 4 Dec 2002 | Cari <web@aon...com> | Thanks! Yeah, all the artwork on Elfwoood is copyright protected by the individual artist, and may not be copied or altered without the artists permission... whether they display this or not (although each page on Eflwood does display the Copyright Notice symbol, and all this is implied with that same symbol). I've have some trouble with folks using my art and then putting their own copyright notice on that derivative work, which is a no-no... but you can always ask the artist of the piece in question and see what they say. You just can't do anything without their permission, that's all. Unfortunately as nearly all my artwork is published, I can't allow uses like that myself, but that's just my situation... you should always feel free to ask other artists about such stuff... the worst they can say is no, and if nothing else you can say hi and get everything clear and legal before you do anything, which can save you a lot of heartache in the future. I never mind when folks take a sec to ask... I can't always say yes, but hey... better to ask first then be bitten in the rear after! ;-) | |

| 6 Dec 2002 | Maya R. Hirschman | this is truly magnificent. So much 'illustration', and I use that term loosely, in new age writing is terrible. This is so evocative. *shivers* | |
