SciFi and Fantasy Art Signs of Chaos by Allison Leigh Cassel


	Okay, just so you know, this isn't a drawing. These are two pieces of cast silver dropped on the scanner (yep, I work in silver sometimes) and backed with a tshirt; the one on the chain is fine silver and is usually around my neck. The other is sterling and was recently sold. And the design is the sign of Chaos as described in Moorcock's Elric Saga. Something a little different today.

I also make jewelry items from silver and bronze etc. Allison Leigh Cassel replies: "Yep, these pieces were done in a gravity-casting method, from a carved plaster mold. Someday crosses fingers I hope to get the centrifuge-casted pieces uploaded here, I'm quite fond of some of them, even if I don't wear them..."

(I often scan my beadwork and I know it's hard to get a good skan of 3D object, even flat one)) Allison Leigh Cassel replies: "They actually look ancient in person, too... well, at least the one on the chain does, I haven't seen the other in a couple years. But because of the way they tarnish a bit, and the shape overall, they look kinda like something pried off an ancient book. Least, that's what I thought when I finished off the first casting."
