SciFi and Fantasy Art: Dryad

One of my favorites. Prismacolor pencils are the most wonderful of all pencils on the face of the earth. Drawn for a card, later imposed on a very modified photograph, but this is the original image as drawn. I wonder where she's going?...

Great hair! I think she must be heading up out of the lawn to see what's happening in the world. Humans don't know that she's there but she knows where we are. I think she must be checking up on us!!!

I love this picture! The hair flows so beautifully1. I agree with the previous comment about the hands and feet being too blacky and generalized. I did a dryad picture recently and made the lower half of her body the tree trunk and her arms branches (including branchy "fingers"). You can see it if you like at http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/loth/j/e/jenigibbs/weepingwillow_smaller.jpg.html . 1

Could I possibly, maybe use this for a character illustration in my novel "Exile"? If you would read it and consider it, I would be greatly appreciative. Seeing as I can't draw and this picture is of a dryad.... PLEASE?
