SciFi and Fantasy Art Nabuki, Kubuku, and Ekata by C. E. Burk

i actually came up with these 3 characters (along with 4 male companions) while in mr rowen's boring am hist. class in 1999. nabuki(red) and kubuku(teal) are sisters, rangers, and ekata is their shy priestess friend. i was reorganizing my piles and piles of drawings *old and new* recently, and stumbled upon the original drawing of the trio. i decided to draw them again in a new, cute pose, but colour in photoshop (instead of coloured pencils like the original version). i admit, the original concept was anime-inspired, but on this peice, i followed up with only so-so, standard-issue anime girlie eyes--because! i am sooo bad with anime faces! ack! oh yeah, and the cherry blossums..except mine look like big, pink, mutant fruit!

20 Jul 2006	Anonymous	Loading... Yay! Snuggly pic! This is not bad for a manga-style picture. However, there does seem to be a bit of a problem with the legs. Kubuku's left leg's angle looks kind of strange for the position she's standing in, and both of Ekata's legs look oddly proportioned in comparison to the rest of her body. Other than that, the picture is quite good. And the cherry petals aren't THAT bad...
