SciFi and Fantasy Art: Angel 1 (Random)

(uploaded 04/~/01) The first of two Angel studies I've done recently. I wasn't entirely happy with this image, so I went back to rework the costume and pose. The second attempt came out much better overall, although I like the face and hair on this image. This image is still uncolored, although I have cleaned up the scan a bit and done some basic image tweaking. Update (10/03/01): It's colored! Er ... well you get the idea. :) I've been wanting to work with grey tones for a while and thought this picture might make a good starting point.

I like it! Wonderfully dynamic picture. I think it would look even better coloured though. Are you going to colour it?I am planning on coloring this image, but won't have time to do it for a couple of weeks at least.

My first comment. I really like this one better than the colored Number 2. No offense. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.No offense taken. I do like this image very much, it just didn't quite achieve what I was trying for.

all I have to say is practically the exact same as Hyacinthe's. No offense, too.

*looks at above comment* Eh? If you have a pic to compare it to, at least leave a url to it or your email addie instead of being a random rat (no offense to the Lady Random, of course)s'ok, Anneliese. I believe the anonymous individual is referring to the other angel pic I uploaded with this one. =)

I think the grey tones worked out well!

I think it's beautifull!! I like it in black and white. It looks to me as if she is just a bit too skinny. I love her fingers and her wings - so so so so pretty!!!

Hm... Her proportions are a little off. Her chest seems much too broad for her narrow waist and hips. However, I commend you for your patience with the wings and feathers, I always cop out on mine. ^.~ Nicely shaded as well, good work with the sky.The wings are somewhat formulaic. I'm a lot lazier than I seem. The proportions in both this picture and Angel 2 (posted at the same time) are deliberately off. I was both experimenting with a new visual style and trying to incorporate a more avian feel to their physiology. The results were somewhat mixed, although I do think the more dramtically disproportional figure (Angel 2) is the better formed of the two.

She doesn't seem like your style although u did do a nice job. Further more u could make the feet and her wings look a little better. I've seen you pictures u can do better but after all I like it.
