SciFi and Fantasy Art: Gwen and Dru (uncolored)

(uploaded 01/~/01) Ok, a slight departure from my normal methodology, but I thought I'd post an image in the pre-colored stage. This is the Gwendolin and Drusilla pose, cleaned up after scanning, but without any color work done on it. This image contains many techniques which are realtively new to me, including; the hand-inking, the more elaborate drapery, and several stylistic changes in the design of the two figures. Since in many ways it's a step towards where I currently want to go with my illustrative technique, I thought I'd include it here in its uncluttered state for commentary. :)
(update 06/24/02) Gwendolyn and Drusilla are now featured in my online comic Bookwyrms.

(Though the lack of pupils is un-nerving.) Great drapery and detailing.Thank you. Sorry about the pupils, uploading this image in b&w was an afterthought, and I usually leave eye detailing until the coloring stage.
