SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Lady

My first serious realism study. Done with charcoal, which I have come to adore. Not based on anyone in particular, but I think I'm going to form a character in my novel-in-progress, Final Reality, on her. I know there's a lot wrong with it, and the scan is absolutely horrid, but it was fun. I'll hate it in a couple weeks, though, I'm sure...

Yeah, I know the eyes are bad. Really bad. Charcoal is kinda permenant though - it doesn't erase well o.0

Her chin and lips and neck are vvvvverrrry good, but you could work a bit more with her eyes. They seem slightly... hmm... flat. And some gloss on her hair wouldn't hurt either. But all in all this is a great picture.

Pretty good for a first study...I love her hair, and the somewhat melancholy look on her face. I hope you do incorporate her into your story, she has character about her. Some sort of past. Hmmm...

She's gorgeous! Charcoal is definitely something I have to try some time. Have you done anything like this since?Actually, yes, I have. I drew one just yesterday (8/15) that I'll upload soon...

She has soul.

You really know how to capture stories in your subject's eyes. I don't mind her slight deformities. she's lovely.

I'm not sure, but I think you the placement of her right eye is a little off. I have no complaints about anything else.
