SciFi and Fantasy Art: Mermaid(the second)

Suprise! You aren't seeing double, this is another version of thw picture colored by Jenny Heidewald of gallery 142 (she's the nice girl who comments on everything). I put this up not to be repetitive but because I thought it was incredibly beautiful too. And isnt' it interesting how two artists can start out with the same idea/picture and make it blossom into two completly seperate yet equally breath taking pictures? Please, comment and check out her gallery.

Oh, she's pretty, too... the other one looks perhaps more ethereal, this one more fleshy, but I love them both.

*waves* Wow, I had forgotten all about your picture I colored for you! <2 *laughs at Audrey S. Totire Jones comment* *bows to all the nice people* What makes a pretty picture really pretty is all the work that went into it before the coloring! 2

11 Chelsea L. Gordon replies: "You taught me so much about coloring from looking at your work! It has been a real inspiration. I've started coloring all my own stuff. I have four new pieces I'm about to upload. No where near as good as yours, but they were fun to draw!"

*Awww, how sweet! I am flattered! 2 I am glad to be an ispiration! Something being fun is the real reason behind art I believe, some people would have you thinking that it was to make things look super realistic, but it is more of a journey. ( I think I need to get some more sleep, I feel like I am babbling! <19 )
Hey, I messed with the background a bit, nothing fancy, but an addition of a gradiant background ( light blue to dark blue) makes the mermaid look less stark against the white, I wish I had thought of this back in '99 when I colored it for you! (OMG has it really been that long?!?!) Anways, I'll stop babbling now, I look forward to the new updates! 2

I REALLY like this one!!! In fact, now that I think of it, I have drawn the perfect mount for your mermaid, though you will have to be patient to see it, as I have yet to have downloaded it on my site. I call it my Hippocampus biceros, when you finally see it you will know what I am talking about. Any who, great job on all of your art, I like it a lot.

I like it and everything but peoples chests just aren't that big so try shrinking that a little.

Inkers dont get enough credit. It taks great talent to be able to takes the penciling of a drawing and bring "life" to it. Besides that,im sure that a mermaid would be greatly offended if she heard us land dwelers critizing the size of her eyes.2

Nice, but shrink the breasts a bit and put like, a starfish over her her nipples for a more realistic look.
