| 20 May 2003 | Bernadette D. Reinecke | I love this picture. The movement in is is awesome! I love the way it all flows together, it makes me feel like I can hear her leaves rustling in the wind. I can't wait to see you finish it. Chelsea L. Gordon replies: "I was really excited when I found this picture while going through my old art one day. She was one of my favorites to draw. I'm really looking forward to coloring her, but I have a couple fairies I'm working on finishing first. Thanks so much for being this first to comment!" | |
| 20 Jul 2003 | Manuela B. Duczeminska | This has a very good composition and her pose is perfect. I especially like all the parallel lines of the branches and her hair, they nicely emphasize her unity with the tree. Nice job. Chelsea L. Gordon replies: "I really like her in pencil best. I might just have a thing for pencil though. I feel I can demonstrate a subtlty with pencil that I can't achieve with color. Have you ever experienced that?" | |
| 1 Sep 2003 | Leah Yerpe | I think this is my favorite of your pieces posted here. There is a great sense of movement in it, and that lends it life, as if I can see the tree growing. Just a casual observation. Chelsea L. Gordon replies: "You know, for a year I had this image in my head that I wanted to draw, and I tried, over and over, but each time it just didn't come out the way I saw it. I finally got so frustrated I stopped drawing. When I started again, I had forgotten all about this rendition of it. I came across it years later and couldn't figure out why it had not satisfied me before." | |
