SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Washer at the Ford

This is the myth of the great Cuchulain ( the Hound of Ulster ) Who in his life time did many acts and deeds of great courage, thou in this image i have portrayed his end and the battle he had to fight with his friend Ferdia son of Daman. who he fort to the death at the river.

The washer herself, was a premanition given to Cuchulain by the Morrigan. The Goddess of war who he had spured on many acations, In one last gesture she showed him his battle armour being washed clean of blood and that his death was upon him.
