SciFi and Fantasy Art: Hecate goddess of magic and crossroads

This is the first new image for some time to be added to elfwood, and came about due to a request, this involved seeking historical images and symbols as well as related infomation. she is linked to the greek gods and goddess by was first mentioned in Turkey where she is shown as a three fold goddess, maid mother and crone. It was fun searching out the history and trying in my own way to do a classical form in a modern and stileised way
