SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lady of the Forest

Here a piece that I did in oil on 18x24' masonite. It's actually my first time using masonite. And it didn't really turn out that bad. Update: I repainted the background and the stone.

Ur dumb, Hazz! Only a queer complains when topless babes are around. Perhaps the art of Elfwood Artist: Wayne H. Hodge is more up your ally. I find Chris's pix 2 B farrrrrrr better. Later dude.

Imagine:
It is 62 years into the future. Our Lady of the Forest is wearing the exact same outfit as she did when we first laid eyes on her. (You loved it then, why not now?)She is being chased by the same orcs as before. She turns around fiercely to attack, but wait, something is blocking her view. She cannot see the orcs as they leap from tree branches on top her and she is done away with. Her long boob got in her way. You see. That's the importance of wearing a bra! The very outfit you so loved and supported, no pun intended, has brought her to her end.

Just kidding! Your artwork, like all, is an expression. Even though I don't approve of the outfit, swimsuit model for furry bikinis (winter edition), I am not so engrossed with criticizing that one facet of your picture to miss the talent 'behind' it, no pun intended.

Good Grief! I cant believe some of the comments on this art work.... I realize everyones intitled to their opinion but.. It's " Fantasy " art ..hence the word "Fantasy" and some of it boarders on Pinup....And it's all very good work, The point here is it's good work..I don't see Chris Saying anywhere these are depictions of historical or factual nature
Great stuff Chris, I hope one day to be even half as good!

Fantastic picture! I love the outfit and the pose. One piece of criticism- her arm seems a little... spindly? Although its not that important... I still love it to bits!

I wouldn't mind meeting her in the woods at night

Am I missing something? Why does everyone think she's being chased by orcs (or anyone?). In Scandinavian myth the Lady of the Forest is a human-looking creature who tends to make men meet messy ends. Not sure why you guys would wanna meet her but her being (partly, in this case) nude would certainly help her in her efforts to lure you further into her realm.
(Example from the myths: if she meets two travelers in the forest she'll want them to be the exact same height, for some reason - I have no idea why - and she won't hesitate to cut a man's head off to accomplish that.)

To the artist, I think the picture is excellent, and I love the subdued use of colours where her body is the only source of warmth.

I wonder: what would the Arthurian legends have been like if a girl had pulled the sword out of the rock...?

Nice picture. Great atmosphere and lightning.
