| 8 Aug 2006 | Meggie | So LOTR Gandalf/Sauron-ish picture, with make me love it all the better | |
| 15 Jan 2007 | Seritole | Isn't Gandalf. hmpf PEOPLE! ITS A W-I-Z-A-R-D! THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME! | |
| 23 Nov 2007 | Charlotte Fire-Valkyrie Ahlgren | It seems to me that the "meaning" of this picture is lost in the babble of whether there are possibly other wizards than Gandalf to be portrayed and if so, how...
To me, the greatest impression of this picture is the contrast between the old ruins among the moss covered trees and the rather futuristic architectural structures in the background. To me, it seems the man is an ancient druid/guardian/powerful-man-of-your-choice who still remains although his own civilization is gone. The curse of being immortal or near-immortal, perhaps? I think only one other commenter mentioned his sadness, but I agree with that. There's much melancholy in this picture, yet nothing stating that the future is necessarily worse than the past. A great piece of work! | |
| 13 Dec 2007 | Shadowfriend | This should have a mod-choice. It is abslolutley amazing. There should be a tour with it to I think. Perhaps I should make one. | |
| 14 Jan 2008 | Vincent Detmers | I’d actually say the range in your illustrative skills is actually pretty wide, but whatever, its a great pic | |
| 17 Jan 2008 | Louisa B. E. Watson | He looks really mysterious and dramatic! I love the moss-covered tree, and the ruins in the foreground! | |
| 30 Jan 2008 | Laurel Anderson | Reminds me of Gandalf... | |
| 27 Mar 2008 | Justin Gill | "So you come, riding to Isengard, to seek my counsel." Looks like a very well done mix of Gandalf and Saruman from the movies, but hey, it’s original for a wizard! (There is almost nothing you can do with them.) | |
| 28 Mar 2008 | Casandra l.johnsen | I love Gandalf so thats who im going to say it is. Very good pic. | |
| 10 Oct 2008 | Ich, wer sonst? | He looks a little bit like Gandalf...
