| 2 Sep 2005 | Audrey | I agree, you should be proud with art piece! The shading on this is outstanding and the bleanding of body parts done so well! The low dim atmosphere with texture and prespective is GREAT!!! | |
| 3 Sep 2005 | Shyriann | Actually, Tough Critic, the jackal headed god was Anubis, in charge of guiding newly dead souls to the underworld, and patron of embalming. Set was portrayed as a humanoid with an indistinguishable animal head resembling an ardvark with an elongated snout and leathery hide. This picture is amazing. The shadowing brings it to life, and the eyes in the dark add an extra dimension of menace. I love it. | |
| 12 Oct 2005 | Jeslyn | i relly like the pic that is the best pic of set i have seen. Jes | |
| 10 Nov 2005 | Kevin | Set has an aardvark head and is cool. I'm doing a research report on him. | |
| 10 Nov 2005 | Anonymous | This is awesome how do you draw like this? | |
| 24 Nov 2005 | Vera L. Hague | Amazingly realistic and cool... I'm supposing those things in the bucket are coins? | |
| 18 Mar 2006 | Hailey | Amazingly drawn picture. Even true down to Set's greed but to all of the commenters except this Shyriann character: study before typing. Once again, fantastic drawing of the avatar. Major props. | |
| 15 Aug 2006 | Lord Shark the Unknown | I think what the artist sought to portray in this drawing is an avatar of the Stygian snake god Set of Robert E. Howard's Conan tales rather than the 'real-life' evil, mystery-animal-headed deity in ancient Egyptian mythology. Very nice picture, except that the snake part of the creature looks somewhat stiff and maybe a bit on the thinnish, shortish side as well. | |
| 6 Sep 2006 | Aja Mujinga Sherrard | I don't think the snake represented evil in egyptian mythology, but, Okay. it's beautifully and realistically drawn, anyway. | |
| 9 Oct 2006 | Darryl L. Taylor | Impressive work, Chris! Always thought about doing an egyptian themed piece, but never seem to have the time or concept. You've pulled it off nicely here. Kudos! | |
