| 5 May 2008 |  David Michael | Great job, artistically. I love the shading and details, and the billowing fog/clouds, and ocean rollers. Very atmospheric. Note on ship construction, though: those oars would need to be much longer to be of any use at all, and for a ship of that size there would have to be many more of them along the sides, perhaps even two levels of them. There’s a reason galleys were so much smaller than galleons. But like I said, for a bit of speculative fantasy, it’s a really fun picture to look at. | |
