SciFi and Fantasy Art: Masquerade

The performance of 'Masquerade' in Phantom of the Opera really impressed me with all the elaborate costumes. That experience inspired me to create this drawing with my own characters in costumes and maskes. Made with colored pencil, pastel, ink and marker.

Holy Cows! That must have taken forever. The style of drawing that you used for this picture kinda reminds me of Monty Python, but it's probably just me. Very well put together, everything fits and looks right in it's place. I luv the book of The Phantom Of The Opera by Gaston Leroux, I felt so sad for Erik. Raoul is a weenie, Erik shoulda got Christine. I'll just go ramble somewhere else now...12

After seeeing Masquerade, both in the cinema and on broadway, I have, too, been inspired to draw such related items. This is just amazing, though. It's looks a bit chaotic, but hey, what else is a masquerade?? awesome picture, great detail
