SciFi and Fantasy Art: Jean-Claude

This is a character portrait of Jean-Claude, master vampire of St. Louis, in Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series.

I sketched the pic on bristol board (the pose is based on a Pre-Raphaelite painting), then inked it and scanned it in. It's colored in Photoshop 6.

I really like how it turned out, even though he does look more sad and feminine than I intended (more fun for the bishie lovers, I guess).

I can't remember the name of the characters they were representing (then again it's 5 in the am and I've had no sleep) but I remember it was a gift from Bella Morte in the book Cerulean Sins.

I am like obsessed with Anita Blake and Jean-Claude. the way you depicted him in this pic is exactly like I would have imagined him to be in real life.
