SciFi and Fantasy Art: Mermaid

Here is my very first picture of an actual mermaid...complete with tail. Actually, it was another concept picture for my friend's character. He preferred the one with the legs better...(see Typhon:Angel of Atlantis). Sorry about the scan quality and the fact that most of the good stuff is cut off...I'll have to fix that later. Actually, I may just redo the whole thing.

I really did like the coloring on this...I think I am going to redo it on better paper, and try to capture the same feel.

Really cool job with getting the fishy look down with all the webby fins and wings and webbed fingers. Can't wait to see the whole shebang! Thanks, JC.
