SciFi and Fantasy Art: Rand (or Mat?)

Just finished the colossal tome, and landmark work of fiction: Eye of the World, by Robert Jordan. I think he was VERY heavily influenced by Tolkien. Lan is just so Aragorn. Nynaeve is kind of Eowyn, and Loian...Treebeard-and-the-younger-ent anyone? But all in a much more readable format! Much more readable. In fact, I've completed a picture of Ilia, and I'm semi-working on one of Nynaeve! Struck me this looked like either Rand or Mat looking depressed about something.

24 Dec 2001	Heather lewis	Loading... The head bothers me, but i love ht position. he looks as thoug hhe feels almots helpless.. or really tired. I was told that RJ was told to make Eye more "Tolkien-ish", which makes me angry. I'm just glad the other books went their own way.

28 Aug 2002	Lokita	Loading... That sword/spear thing is called an ashandari or somethin' like that. I think it looks more like Rand than Mat 'cause even though he's sitting down, he looks really tall. This is a really cool pic, by the way.

29 May 2003	Min Wolph	Loading... Cool piccy. I think it could look like either I guess except that it doesn't have the trademarks that Rand and Mat have that were mentioned above. Oh and btw...who's Ilia?
20 Feb 2004	Saitou Hajime	Loading... Yay! Someone else noticed the Tolkien-ish character qualities. Moiraine is totally like Galadriel, especially when she gets mad. Egwene and Arwen too. The younger ent's name is Quickbeam. I love the picture, but somehow the head doesn't seem to fit. It's still awesome though!
