SciFi and Fantasy Art: Susano'o

Recently I've started to work on a comic version of the mythology that is part of my main story, meaning the background for it. This is one of the characters, its name is Susano'o. It is the anthropomorphized version of the Western Phoenix the one that immolates itself every 500-1000 years, hence the (well mostly) yellow and red coloring. I chose a more modern sort of clothing because it seemed more appropriate to the character rather typical attire. And yes those wings really are part of it's body, but some anatomical issues make it look as if it weren't so. =) The style is actually more cartoony than I usually do because I wanted to experiment a bit. Done in Tria markers.

Awesome, Cindy--I love how you colored the wings and the peacock feathers
