SciFi and Fantasy Art: Wings

I'm obsessed with wings, and constantly draw people with wings.

I love this drawing, but for some reason, last time it was deemed unworthy of the fantasy section of elfwood. I don't understand? He's wearing a tunic, and he has wings. Isn't that...fantasy? Where else would it go?

I did several versions of this. If I can find a flatbed scanner [mine is feedthrough] I'll try to upload the cooler one, the most complex one.

19 Jun 2002	Sabina E. Horton	Loading... I think it may have been rejected because his clothing looks like it might be modern. I've had somethings rejected when I thought they were fantasy; I'm guessing most of us have. I wish they would give you a more specific reason than "doesn't belong in this area." Anyhow, I love his leaned-back pose and the way you have him outlined. MacKay C Wilford [blue] replies: "I was very upset that they refused him, too, because he's my favorite. (: I did a more interesting one, which was done in the designs I have on my other page. It's sitting around, now, I should scan it in, but I'd have to cut and paste it together because it might be too big..."
